Discoveries at Bradbourne church:
late 18th to early 20th centuries

Combining insights from Archaeology and Biblical Studies, 500 Reformations speakers John Moreland and Iona Hine will be re-examining what we know about Reformation in the Peak District village of Bradbourne.

Taking the parish church as a starting point, this two-speaker session will look at the transition from icons to text:

  • Professor Moreland will reexamine archaeological discoveries documented from the 18th to early 20th centuries.
  • Dr Hine will demonstrate how a study of England’s early modern bibles can also illuminate the local history of Reformation.

This event is hosted by the local history society.
